Bobbi with “Breaking Night” author Liz Murray
I love to curl up with a good book after a long day or while I’m traveling. For a recent trip to the Bahamas, my stylist gave me “Breaking Night” by Liz Murray. I sat on the beach and read it cover-to-cover. The book, which is an autobiography, is about beating the odds despite adversity and making the most out of what you have. I was so moved by Liz’s story, that I made it required reading for everyone who works for me. Liz made me realize that no matter what difficulties you face, you can overcome them.
When I began thinking about who I wanted in my next book, Liz was at the top of my list because she’s continuing to build the life she’s dreamed of. Her latest achievement? She’s a new mom to baby Liam, born only a few weeks ago. After a little respite, I’ll be interviewing Liz on her incredible story, so stay tuned.

I am going to get my copy tonight. Sounds wonderful. If you like this book, you will love Girl in Translation. It’s about a Chinese immigrant who goes from working in sweatshops in NY to Harvard. Beautifully written.
