Recently, we teamed up with a very cool organization called Black Ivy Events to host a Makeup Party for 40 amazing women. Black Ivy Events coordinates exclusive monthly meet-ups here in the city that bring together African American alumni from the nation’s top Ivy League schools to socialize, connect and network with other like-minded professionals.

Over the course of a fun-filled afternoon, the women received one-on-one makeup lessons and walked away looking pretty powerful. See the feedback—and photos from the event~

“I had an amazing time at the Black Ivy + Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Make-up Event last weekend. Everything was so well done. There was a comfortable, fun and welcoming atmosphere and it was great to feel pampered. Not many of us can say that we have our makeup done while socializing and having drinks. Well done! The artists were incredible: professional, helpful and just plain fun to be around—especially the one that assisted me—Cassandra. I am now fully set up with my Bobbi Brown essentials. “ –Nicole Christie
“I thought the Pretty Powerful make-up party was fantastic. It was such a great idea to have a cosmetic event for women of Color, as they are typically under-represented in this industry, so being able to have an intimate conversation about make-up options and skin care was much appreciated.” –Michaela Warnsley
“I’ve always heard of MAC and knew they had products for black women, but never knew much about Bobbi Brown. Because of this event, now I know Bobbi Brown has makeup for me!” –- Event Attendee
