As I mentioned during the holidays, I gave my office a gift of health to reward them for their all their hard work in 2011. As part of the gift, we introduced the “Year of Health,” where each month we bring in experts to host seminars on everything from fitness and nutrition to meditation and yoga.
So when planning out the year’s seminars, I thought it would be awesome to share my new favorite workout class with my colleagues – The Bar Method. The Bar Method combines interval strength training with dance conditioning to give you a full-body (and fat burning!) workout. I decided to try a class to jazz up my workout routine – and after the first class, I was hooked (not to mention, really sore).
As part of February’s Year of Health, a dozen of my colleagues and I headed over to the SoHo location after work one night and did a class together. It was a great way to spend a Tuesday evening, and I heard that the newcomers, despite some achy muscles, had a blast. So if you’re looking for something to help you spice up your gym regimen, check out a Bar Method near you. I swear by these classes – they will help you reach whatever fitness goals you have, and I’m positive you’ll want to go back.
