Food Matters

I’m always on the lookout for healthy eating options (if I could do anything else, I would love to be a nutritional chef). A few months ago, I came across Food Matters NYC, a health-focused catering and meal delivery service –and I knew I had to check it out. Started in 2008 by Tricia Williams, a culinary nutritionist, Food Matters NYC believes in providing nutritious (yet delicious) meals to help people lead healthier lives.

My favorite thing she makes? – the delicious Nori Chips, chips made out of seaweed.

So when my team and I were searching for a caterer for our upcoming Bootcamp meeting, I immediately thought of Tricia. During Bootcamp, my makeup artists from all over the world get together for a full week of training and back-to-back presentations on our upcoming season. It’s fun but intense so I wanted to make sure that the meals we offered tasted good, were healthy and kept all the artists fueled for their crazy schedules.

Tricia and her team came to our offices to give us a tasting of the menu options – everything was sooo good.

Our Favorites:

  • Kale Caesar Salad with Cashew Cream Dressing and Paleo Croutons
  • Quinoa Pasta with Sauteed Vegetables and Pesto
  • Turkey Meatloaf
  • Seared Tuna wrapped in Seaweed
  • Quinoa Crepe filled with Chocolate Mousse, topped with Fresh Strawberries – OMG yum……..

I’m excited to announce that Tricia will be joining our blog as a contributor. Stay tuned for her post on healthy alternatives to your favorite unhealthy snacks. What guilty indulgences would you like to make over?      - XO, Bobbi

Macaroni and cheese, pizza, fettucine alfredo. Oh, and alcoholic drinks that actually have some taste!

Everything looks amazing! Love the idea of a Ceaser with kale. I am going to give that a try. Bobbi, you are just so wonderful to share such important body, mind and spirit ideas with your staff. It shows how much you value them and creates a great office atmosphere. I would love working with you.
