Grazia Daily Magazine, a weekly fashion and beauty bible in the UK, recently asked me to be a part of one of their feature stories. The piece, which is appropriately titled, “Work It,” offers tips on how you can modernize your makeup at work.
The shoot took place on a gray and rainy day at a very cool loft in Tribeca. We kicked it off by putting on a Rolling Stones album, and got to work on the looks. My right hand man for the day was Kevin Mancuso, a brilliant hairstylist I’ve worked with several times before. He and I brainstormed on the best way to bring the looks to life – which included powerful brows, bright eye shadows, and nude lips.
All in all the day was a blast – check out the colorful photos below for a behind-the-scenes look. - BB

Check out the suggested products below- but if you want the real lowdown on how to get these looks – go to How-To: Office Beauty, our Beauty posting for this week.

Here are some pics we snapped on set~

I love a good strong brow.

This is more of an editorial look. For the office – I’d go with a more transparent shade of purple like our Ultra Violet Shimmer Wash Shadow.

I love this purple – it really pops.

I like to lay out everything I might need, including lots of Q-tips and breath strips.

Liz Hambleton, Beauty Director for Grazia on the left, Angelica Hermon, Beauty Coordinator for Grazia on the right. Love the glasses…

The amazing Kevin Mancuso doing on-set touch-ups. I’ve worked with him for years. He’s such a nice guy – he even brought me one of his signature hair dryers and some of the new haircare line he created with Nexxus.

Stay tuned for a Q&A in the near future with Kevin and lots of pics from our past photoshoots together.
