You know when you look at old photographs of yourself that were taken in that moment, just before dusk, when the sun casts a tawny glow and makes everybody’s skin look exceptionally good? That’s the inspiration behind my Desert Twilight Collection—those sun-swept shades of nudes and pinks that remind me of late summer days and that late-afternoon glow.

Fab fact: The gorgeous necklace on our model is from Lulu Frost (our very own artists did the makeup for the NYC-based jewelry’s line’s Fall 2012 campaign). I love how founder-designer, Lisa Salzer, describes her inspiration behind the piece: “Grace Kelly goes West”. With its Navajo-meets-cocktail-party feel, it captures the mood of Desert Twilight completely.
