Nothing says summer like baseball. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd—it just puts you in a great mood.

And while you may not think of makeup when you think of Major League Baseball (those black stripes under players’ eyes don’t really count), our Bobbi Brown Artists recently hosted a series of events in Kansas City this week for the 83rd Annual MLB All-Star Game.

First up? Our BB Artists hosted complimentary makeup sessions for players’ wives before the Home Run Derby—a contest amongst MLB players to see who can hit the most home runs–and the Gala Party, a pre-game bash with music and food.

On the day of the game, we hosted pre-red carpet makeup lessons for the wives of some VIP players—including Matt Wieters, Chris Perez, Paul Konerko, Chris Sale, Matt Harrison, Billy Butler, Adrian Beltre and Bryan LaHair— focusing on our Long-Wear Collection, and gave out Bobbi Brown gifts to all the players and their families. BB Manager of Artistry, Marc Reagan, even managed to pop by and see the local Kansas City Bobbi Brown Artists for a training session too.
The real home run of the visit came when game-day temperatures hit 95 degrees. Melty makeup didn’t stand a chance. The final score? Long-Wear: 1; Summer Heat: 0.

That’s what we call a Glam Slam.
