Be KIND

I’ve always believed beauty starts from within. It’s not just what we apply to our face that makes us look and feel better, it’s what we’re feeding our bodies too.

If you read this blog, you know I’m constantly on the hunt for delicious, nutritious snacks I can grab on the go and KIND bars are my go-to pick for a healthy bite. They’re gluten-free and all-natural, made only from nuts, seeds and fruit!

The KIND people have started KIND Movement, promoting not-so-random act of kindness on their website every month.  They asked me to create an Eat Pretty Powerful gift box for their Snack and Give Back program this holiday season (along with other snack box-creators, Ariana Huffington and Grace Potter). I chose my favorite flavors for each box: Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt, Cashew & Ginger Spice, Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Pecan, and Madagascar Vanilla Almond.

 

 

Yum.

What makes this “cube” so delicious (besides the fact that each box includes five bars of each variety)? A portion of each $42.95 sale will help KIND fund a new KIND kitchen at my adopted high school the Broome Street Academy, a public charter high school that prepares New York City’s most vulnerable young people to graduate with Regents diplomas—and happens to be a few blocks from our SoHo office.

In creating this gift box, I want to empower women to embrace their unique beauty, not only through makeup but also the way they choose to live, eat and give back. Healthy eating and helping others is the best cosmetic for beauty.

Now, go get snacking.

    These are the best! I never leave the house without one. They are quite filling! I love that they are quite low in carbohydrates!
