NYFW Diary: Kim Soane

Name and Title: Kimberly Soane  Director of Global Artistry

Years with Bobbi?  10 years   Seasons working New York Fashion Week?  16

What do you enjoy most about Fashion Week? What I enjoy most about working New York Fashion Week is having all of Bobbi’s top artists travel in from around the world and working together as a team for the week.

What’s your favorite Fashion Week moment ever? Leading my very first show on behalf of the brand. I will never forget the feeling of pride and excitement in creating a look for Bobbi Brown and seeing it come alive on the runway.

Name 3 products in your “Fashion Week Survival Kit” (not makeup):

Makeup wipes, large bottle of water (have to stay hydrated), packs of almonds (a great snack between models and shows)

Okay, now you can list makeup—what can’t you live without as you create looks for the shows?

BBU palette, Extreme Party Mascara, & Brow Gel

What trends do you love from this season and what do you think will be big for fall after having seen so many?

I love the winged eyeliner looks, the soft brown smokey eyes, and the beautiful burnt red lips—so perfect for fall!

What trends do you think women can recreate on their own at home?

Every woman can find her perfect rich lip color for fall—it could be a berry, a red or even a deep burgundy. A winged liner looks great for evenings out—try Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink or the Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Jet.

What Bobbi Brown product should we all be lining up to purchase this fall?

Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink, Rich Chocolate Eye Palette, Smokey Eye Mascara
