It’s always been my dream to go on Safari and I have to admit, it was the best trip of my life. First, I had to go shopping and buy all the camouflage clothes I could find — luckily it was easy and timely as it was the trend of the summer! Then me and my family were off, all 15 of us.
I have to admit it took me a few days to totally relax in the Land Rover when the animals are literally right in front of you and they seem to be looking into your eyes — it’s unbelievable. We witnessed mothers giving new babies a bath and a cheetah catching an impala while a leopard waited patiently to steel his catch. Even our driver James was amazed. Oh, I can’t leave out the sundowners that happened daily — So ‘out of Africa” type cocktails in the bush. Our Land Rover turned into a mini bar at the end of the day (see the picture below for reference). There were so many pictures to choose from but here are just a few snaps from our trip courtesy of my sons, Dylan and Duke Plofker, who were our resident photo experts.
