Seasonal Tomatoes

As sad as it is heading towards the end of the summer there is one thing to look forward to and that is the seasonal fruits & veggies. Personally I’m looking forward to perfectly ripe tomatoes in beautiful shades of green, orange, and red. They are so delicious right out of the garden, sliced up in a salad, or paired with fresh mozzarella — besides, they are chock full of health and skin benefits. What are you looking forward to as the summer comes to an end?

XO,

Bobbi

  1. Being and living in New Jersey, I love the tomatoes as well. My latest pleasure is also a Caprese salad, however, instead of fresh basil which always wilts, I drizzle some pesto over the mozzarella. I will also try to use the different colors, yellow, light orange. Also, getting the last of the summer corn. We go to the local farmer’s market and get what is good. Knowing it’s local make sit even better.

  2. Tomatoes are one thing I love to eat like pictured above. One of my favorite ways is with fresh mozzarella and basil drizzled with olive oil and a dash of sea salt.

  3. Yum…my favorite salad! (Now I’m hungry for Salad Caprese!) I’m looking forward to the crowds being gone from the Hamptons.
