I’ve worked really hard to cut sugary, processed food out of my diet—but I still love a delicious, healthful dessert. The summer is my favorite time for making healthy desserts because there’s so much amazing fresh fruit available—things like watermelon, ripe strawberries and peaches are perfect on their own. But I also like to keep a few quick-fix options on hand so I can make a dessert that looks indulgent enough for my guys and is healthy enough for me to enjoy.
Here are a few recipes—some I make all the time, and some I’m looking forward to trying. Yum.
Raw Raspberry Chocolate Freezer Cake
Decadent Raw Chocolate Mousse (inspired by the Café Gratitude classic)
My Special: Goji berries, chocolate (I love Hu Kitchen’s Drinking Chocolate), chia seeds, coconut and flax. So good and easy.
Raw Cookie Dough “Ice Cream” from the amazing Clean Food Dirty City
Pamela Salzman’s Almond-Butter Millet Blondies (because sometimes you just need to bake something)
Peaches and Coconut Cream (another “How You Glow” special)
