Behind the Smokey Nudes Eye Palette

Behind the Smokey Nudes Eye Palette

If there’s one look that I get asked about more than any other, it has to be the smokey eye. Women totally love it because it’s consistently sexy and beautiful. While I love the classic, dark smokey eye, I also thought it was time to update the look a bit. I started creating smokey eyes with browns and grays rather than the usual blacks and charcoals. I love how this “nude smokey” is subtle, but still completely sexy.

When we were working on the collections for 2014, I wanted to create an eye palette that was focused specifically on a nude smokey eye. The result—and what I think is one of our most gorgeous palettes to date—is the Smokey Nudes Eye Palette. It includes a range of shades, from light creams and smokey browns to rich, metallic charcoals, that let women play with the intensity of the look they want. No matter how you use it, the result is sultry and wearable.

  1. I like the more subtle smokey look of the palette. However, how can I achieve the look without putting too much under lower lashes. I have very dry eyes with dark circles. I have found putting liner under the lower lashes makes it look even darker, even when I use corrector and concealer. I also have found the sparkle shadow too messy for my taste. I do find the metallic shadows work best after I use a cream shadow base.

Yes to both questions, Cindy! Bobbi has loads of locations in Chicago where one of her trained Artists would love to work one-on-one to show you how to create your perfect smokey eye. They would also love to show you the current line-up for palettes or how to create your very own (including pink tones with shimmer). Find your nearest location by visiting http://www.BobbiBrown.com and click on Find a Store (bottom left of the homepage).
