So exciting—my 7th book, Pretty Powerful: Beauty Stories to Inspire Confidence is here. Last week we had a party to celebrate. It was fun to see so many of the amazing women who appear in the book all there in one room. Plus, 100% of the proceeds from the night went to support one of my favorite causes, Broome Street Academy. All in all it was an awesome night, but even more fun to get to share it with you here. (Stay tuned for our upcoming Pretty Powerful tour with events across the country this fall.)

Pop the champagne! Book number seven has finally arrived. That’s right: Pretty Powerful: Beauty Stories to Inspire Confidence is now available at all Bobbi Brown counters and on BobbiBrownCosmetics.com.
Bobbi celebrated with over 220 guests including friends, family, celebrities and New York City notables last Thursday evening at Soho’s Treasure + Bond, the Nordstrom concept shop (where you can find our newest collection, Uber Basics, too).
The party was packed with women profiled in the book including author and motivational speaker, Liz Murray; triathletes, Rebeccah and Laurel Wassner; model, Nancy Donahue; and professional golfer, Christie Kerr.
The crowd—which included actor, Matthew Modine, and NYC Council Speaker, Christine Quinn—even got a very special (and rare) private performance by another face you’ll find in the book’s pages: singer, Alexa Ray Joel, who followed up her set with a deeply personal speech sharing how much Bobbi had inspired her over the years (there was love all around).
The book isn’t the only thing we’re celebrating over here: We’ve got a whole new Pretty Powerful website too.

congratulations on your new book, you deserve nothing but greatness! i came here to thank you. when i was fourteen or so about to go to high school, i wrote you a letter to ask for advice about how tos and what not to do when starting to wear make up in the grueling mean girl world of high school. after sometime i got a an envelope in the mail and i was ecstatic my make up idol and role model wrote me back with advice on wearing make up, looking natural and you even sent me a piece of make up. it was the cream blush stick, ill never forget. i held on to that thing for as long as i could! now a decade later i am twenty five, and have a daughter of my own. i still follow a simple natural make up regimen and hold a special place in my heart for you and your lovely gesture. so again. thank you! <3 denise
