Oil & Water: They Do Mix

Oil & Water: They Do Mix

When it comes to skincare, “oil” is a four letter word to a lot of women. But cleansing and moisturizing with oil does not mean an oily complexion—in fact, oils are a really luxurious, gentle and nourishing way to take care of your skin.

One of my all-time favorite products is our Soothing Cleansing Oil—I’ve never used another cleanser like it, and I love how it makes my skin feel and smell. Unlike most cleaners, you apply it directly to dry skin. It instantly breaks down grit and grime, and then rinses off easily with warm water, leaving skin soft, supple and never greasy. It’s my go-to, one step cleanser that feels like a spa treatment.

Another product that I rely on is Extra Face Oil—it’s my “Everything Oil” and my fix-all, whether it’s extra dry spots on cuticles or elbows, or dull, winter skin. When I need a boost of hydration, I layer it under my daily moisturizer. If my skin is looking dull, I pat a bit on the apples of cheeks and instantly have a subtle, healthy glow. Plus, it smells amazing—light, fresh and pretty.

How do you use oil in your skincare routine?

XO,

Bobbi

  1. As a women in my mid twenties, I have the driest skin! I love my new cleansing oil and face oils. I use Bare Minerals Mineralixers (sp?) and also a product from an Ipsy glam bag that I received called Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil. It smells more natural and I believe there are more actual essential oils in that one versus the Bare Minerals set. Thanks for a great post and talking about your product! I’ll pick it up and try it.
